The Fringe team must find the pattern between tragic time loop anomalies. As the investigation unfolds, Raymond (Stephen Root), an electrical engineer, and his wife Kate (Romy Rosemont), a professor of theoretical physics, enter the picture and time becomes a matter of life and death.

Kagame's return begins with a reset of Liber8’s agenda, away from violence and towards blending into the community and fostering their revolution through co-opting existing structures. But they have a vulnerability - the possibility that if their ancestors, living in this time, are murdered, they might cease to exist. A test of this theory is devised and Kiera and her grandmother are the guinea pigs.

Liv, Detective Babineaux and Ravi investigate the mysterious death of a youth basketball coach. Liv, who is currently consumed with the brain of an overzealous coach, gives Major a much-needed pep talk. Meanwhile, things get a little crazy when Blaine and Ravi are forced to work together to recreate the cure. Lastly, Detective Babineaux receives a surprise visit from Suzuki's widow, Helen (recurring guest star Carmen Moore — Blackstone, Supernatural).

Kennex and Dorian investigate a psychopathic killer named Simon (guest star David Dastmalchian), who is strapping bombs to his victims' necks and broadcasting their final moments over the internet. When Simon targets Kennex, the team is in a nail-biting race against time to save his life. Meanwhile, a power deficiency affects Dorian's energy level, causing him to have unexpected outbursts.

Detective Babineaux arrives at the crime scene of a wedding planner who was shot to death, and is shocked to realize that he used to date the victim. To make matters worse, it seems the murder victim was stalking Detective Babineaux, and he is now the number one suspect in her murder. Liv and Ravi pose as an engaged couple in order to infiltrate the victim's wedding planning business. Meanwhile, Major is having a tough time dealing with Liv after she's consumed the brains of a stalker. Recurring guest star Steven Weber appears as Vaughn Du Clark.

Jennifer, who runs an antique shop, stops by her friend Kate's garage sale while touring others. She advises Kate, who is unfamiliar with pricing, and makes plans for lunch before heading to the next sale. However, suspecting that the thief reported in the newspaper is a regular at garage sales, Jennifer asks Detective Iverson to accompany her as she investigates. Later, when Jennifer visits Kate's house, she discovers Kate lying cold beneath the stairs.
