Litefoot

A member of the Cherokee Nation, Litefoot grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he first developed musical interests as a child listening to Motown artists and other R&B performers with his parents. He later began writing poetry and listening to rap music. These interests converged years later when his sister, a recording artist, asked him to write a rap for one of her band's songs. Litefoot's musical career began when they asked him to perform his own composition. In addition to writing all his own lyrics, he has subsequently overseen the production, distribution and marketing of his releases on Red Vinyl Records. Litefoot has referred to his music as "tribalistic funk or Native American hip-hop."
