Malachi Weir
Malachi Weir was an American actor who was best known for his recurring role as Lonnie Watley on the Showtime money drama "Billions" (Showtime, 2016-). Weir was born in Chicago and attended high school in Massachusetts. Weir appeared in a couple short films in the late '90s and 2000, but it wasn't until he nabbed a guest spot on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-) that his career really began to take off. Over the next few years Weir landed a number of guest starring roles on various TV shows, including "Rescue Me" (FX, 2004-2011), "The Jury" (Fox, 2004), and "3 lbs" (CBS, 2006). Then in 2007 he nabbed his first big break on TV when he landed a recurring role on the Nickelodeon series "The Naked Brothers Band" (Nickelodeon, 2007-09). His role on "The Naked Brothers Band" ended in 2007, but Weir's career continued to rise, and by the early 2010s he was landing high profile film roles. In 2011 he landed a role in "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" (2011), and followed that up with a part in "What Maisie Knew" in 2012. Weir continued working steadily over the next few years, before having a breakout year in 2016. In addition to appearing in the highly-acclaimed HBO mini-series "The Night Of" (HBO, 2016), he also joined the cast of the Showtime drama "Billions." Weir played Lonnie Watley on the series, which also starred Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis.
