When a deliveryman accidentally brings a pizza meant for George Stephanopoulos, who lives across the street from the girls, they decide to peek at the former White House advisor with their binoculars.

When a pregnant woman's unborn child is ripped from her abdomen in an horrific attack, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) go on a frantic search for the child, in the hopes that it could have survived. The woman's husband (guest star John Ritter) appears traumatized by the attack which upsets his orderly lifestyle. But when it is discovered that his wife may have been having an affair with a construction worker (guest star Bobby Cannavale) both men come under suspicion for an act of unconscionable jealousy and rage.

Roni Sellers (Marianne Hagan) is horrified when she calls her daughter's cell phone and hears screaming and a man's voice. Kaley (Molly Bea Spears), 18, works as a bicycle messenger to help pay her tuition for NYU. She's a good girl and a good student. When she disappears, a high profile case ensues. Mrs. Sellers holds a press conference and offers a reward for Kaley's return, and tips start coming in as to her whereabouts. Sebastian Ballentine (Martin Short), a psychic, also arrives at the station, and claims he's had a vision of Kaley. Stabler (Christopher Meloni) thinks he's a fraud but when he gives them specific clues, they think he could be a suspect.

A loan shark has an embezzling executive's wife and two daughters kidnapped as collateral on a big debt.

The murder of an undercover narcotics agent splits Kincaid and McCoy over whether or not to ask for the newly reinstated death penalty. Ultimately, District Attorney Schiff must make the call. Victor Garber (Alias) guest stars.
