The shooting of a black community leader is linked to a two-year old crime. Briscoe and Curtis butt heads with the FBI during their investigation which implicates an FBI informant. Meanwhile, McCoy and Ross must battle a hostile and distrustful black community while sorting through the labyrinth of half-truths and cover-ups to determine who the real killer is.

The murder of an older woman is linked to a local drug dealer, although the victim was not a drug user. Detectives soon learn that a heartless mother, hooked on drugs had sold her son to the drug dealer as payment. Her son forced to work with the drug dealer was involved in the killing, but refuses to testify in order to protect his mother.

After taking down Wheatley's (Dylan McDermott) drug empire and discovering his wife's killer, Det. Stabler (Christopher Meloni) must infiltrate a notorious crime family aiming to take over New York City's cocaine trade. Sgt. Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) is forced to work with a rival colleague when their investigations collide. Also starring Ainsley Seiger.

While Jet steps into the field to secure necessary intel for the team, Bell considers a proposition from Congressman Kilbride. Albi takes drastic measures to keep a secret safe. Stabler and Benson air some longstanding grievances.

Bell must provide protection when a gubernatorial candidate makes quick enemies of the K-O. Reggie is assigned a dangerous task. A figure from Eddie's past makes life difficult for Stabler.
