Something in the Rain

Yoon Jin Ah (Son Ye Jin) is an upbeat 35-year-old who works as a supervisor at a coffee shop. Despite recently being dumped by her boyfriend, she tries to remain positive, helped along the way by her best friend Seo Kyung Seon (Jang Seo Yeon). But their friendship is about to be tested when Kyung Seon’s younger brother Joon Hee (Jung Hae In) returns to South Korea after three years working in the United States. Jin Ah starts to spend time with Joon Hee, and they begin to feel the pull of romance. But strict traditional values stand in the way of their union: many would consider it taboo to start a relationship with a friend’s younger sibling. However, Jin Ah and Joon Hee can’t ignore their feelings, despite their four-year age gap. Is this relationship worth it, even if it means the end of Jin Ah and Kyung Seon’s friendship? This 2018 South Korean drama was directed by An Pan Seok.
