Laura decides to investigate the Becker case, embracing that her husband Fernando was assigned to it. Santiago and Raquel discover that Damian and Carolina were planning to travel to Miami. Three years earlier, Lola meets Andres just when she needs money.

Lola and Nicolas find out that Carolina is alive and she is at the police station. Damian finds out that Carolina appeared and wakes up from the coma. Three years earlier, Raquel begins to suspect that Damian and Carolina are flirting with each other.

Miriam demands that Andres tell her everything he knows about Damian's relationship with Carolina. Damian gives Carolina a pair of expensive shoes so he can get closer to her. Carolina spends a lot of money on a luxurious pen for Damian.

Fernando suspects that Carolina may have died and her body was dragged by the river. Raquel discovers that Damian bought a country house for Carolina. Vicente assures Santiago that Carolina had a lover.

Nicolas runs away after learning that his mother is Damian's lover. Three years earlier, Damian seduces Carolina on a trip to Acapulco. Carolina confesses to Damian that she is afraid of what she feels for him. Damian takes her in his arms and kisses her.
