Dr. Kelly Brackett (Robert Fuller) places his career in jeopardy when he diagnoses a dreaded illness before confirming tests are completed. Paramedics John Gage and Roy DeSoto (Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe) answer a call to a studio where a cameraman has broken his leg under unusual circumstances. Gage and DeSoto determine that the man has more than a broken leg and rush him to Rampart Hospital. Drs. Brackett and Joe Early (Bobby Troup) and nurse Dixie McCall (Julie London) learn that Parker’s fall was caused by symptoms which Brackett diagnoses as botulism. Search for the contaminated food leads to Nancy Dickson (Susan Seaforth).

Cook's Tour
Paramedics Gage and DeSoto (Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe), via radio assistance from Dr. Brackett and Nurse McCall (Robert Fuller and Julie London), deliver a baby, over protests of the father. In other emergencies, they save a badly beaten boy, who’s under the influence of drugs, and revive a man after severe electrical shock. Through all this, DeSoto broods over the dinner he plans to serve to the men of Station 51, who detest his cooking. Bobby Troup plays Dr. Early. Frank Aletter guest stars.
