Ryan, Joel, and Ryan's wife run a moose hunt along an iconic river, spending the night in a rotten cabin before an unexpected elk harvest. Meeting Bernard McCay, they explore B.C.'s LEH lottery and the trials of a first-time hunter.

To redeem last year's failed bear hunt, Ryan leads Joel into the challenging spring of Williams Lake and Horsefly. Lost in tough terrain, Joel faces his fear of bears and the sacred, complex balance of taking an animal for food.

On Vancouver Island, Ryan shows Joel the ocean's rich bounty. In Ucluelet, they explore a fisherman's sacred balance-feeding families while protecting the sea-a balance often broken by commercial practices.
