First Descent: Michoacan

Michoacan State in western Mexico promises to be a kayaker's paradise for six adventurous friends who look to take on its challenging rivers. But their preparation in Veracruz quickly reminds them just how dangerous this wilderness sport can be.

The guys spend their first days in Michoacan scouting unexplored waterways and jungles and encountering dangerous situations before they even get in a boat. If it's this hard on land and in town, will Michaocan's rivers prove to be too much to take?

The kayaking adventure of a lifetime continues. After an aerial scout, the guys realize they must rappel down a sheer canyon wall because the waterfall is just too dangerous to go over. But at the bottom of the rope they find their best run yet.

The guys seek a final adventure to wrap up the trip, but dropping water levels and the threat of dangerous neighbors keep them out of unexplored waterways. Determined to get in a little more action, they return to an earlier run one last time.

An early start leads to an epic descent, and the guys have the ride of their lives discovering a new jewel of kayaking. The next day brings even more exhilarating waterfalls and rapids that make the trip's initial delays all the more worth it.
