The Reyes brothers learn that Libia has a relationship with a man, which turns out to be Bernardo Elizondo, father of the Robles sisters. Sofia and her sisters live under the yoke of their mother Gabriela, who overprotects them.

Libia tells her brothers she is pregnant. Fernando tries to blackmail Bernardo and accidentally kills him during the discussion. Libia arrives at Bernardo's funeral and everyone discovers the truth about their relationship.

Gabriela asks her daughters to end the mourning for her father, but Sofia refuses to do so. The Reyes brothers find the dead body of Libia and Juan is deeply affected. Gabriela leaves Fernando in charge of the ranch.

The Reyes brothers promise to avenge the death of Libia and decide to destroy Bernardo Elizondo’s family. Sofia wants to divorce Fernando, but Gabriela will not allow it.

Juan and his brothers arrive at the Elizondo´s ranch to begin their revenge. Sofia and Juan meet and fall madly in love with each other.

Sofia and her sisters are getting ready for the ‘jaripeo’ of the ranch. Juan participates in the riders' contest to impress Sofia.
