L-POP is a scripted K-pop competition dance drama geared toward tweens and teens. The show takes place in Mexico City and follows two sisters, one of whom (Andrea, played by Andrea de Alba) is the subject of her sister Pau's (Alicia Jaziz) documentary on K-pop fans. Andrea struggles to balance her responsibilities of dental school, work, and the demanding schedule of the dance troupe she co-founded. She gets kicked out of the dance troupe and, upon learning of a K-pop dance competition in their town, forms a new troupe in the hope of winning a trip to Korea (the grand prize).
