The Disappearance

When 17-year-old Léa Morel fails to return home after a night out celebrating her birthday, her family is thrown into their worst nightmare. Police officers, led by Bertrand Molina, desperately search to find the missing teen.

Conflicting reports about the night of Léa’s disappearance exasperate Molina and Guérin and slow down the progress of their investigation. But as the officers sift through the discrepancies, they discover that Léa had secrets of her own.

Léa’s mysterious phone call to Julien leads Molina and Guérin to change the direction of their inquiries. As the officers learn more about the night Léa went missing, the Morels begin to turn on one another, unsure of whom to trust anymore.

Molina interrogates the man claiming to have murdered Léa but doesn’t believe his confession. However, when following up on some of the man’s claims, the officers make shocking discoveries.

With Léa’s fate now known, the Morel family must pick up the pieces and learn to live life without her. The police continue their investigation, and new information brings them closer to uncovering the truth.

After Nicolas’s body is found with a confession to Léa’s murder, Molina and Guérin seem to have caught the culprit. But evidence from the autopsy reveals that there is still more to the story.
