On a mission to catch one of the largest freshwater fish in the world, in one of the most remote places on the planet, Cyril's survival skills are about to be tested! After training with the Brazilian Army's special forces unit, CIGS, specialists in this harsh environment, Cyril embarks on a journey deep into the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

Feared because of its resemblance to the alligator, its mouth filled with needle-like fangs, and its reputation as a potential threat to people, the prehistoric alligator gar was mercilessly hunted to the edge of extinction. Now, Cyril's in Texas recruited by biologists to collect data to better understand these mysterious animals and help them recover.

To get to Brazil's largest prehistoric fish, the endangered arapaima, Cyril must wade through swamps infested with piranhas, caimans and anacondas.
