An occult ritual gone wrong; a monster on the farm. Two deaths in two towns on opposite sides of the world cause horrific monsters to manifest.

The Johansens prepare for their matriarch's funeral, while members of the Foundation prepare for an arcane ritual they hope will put an end to the Withering.

After Toby's conflict with the Foundation comes to a head, the disappearance of their children sends the lives of both families deeper into chaos and despair.

Both the Johansens and Hernandez families find their normal lives further unraveling as the disappearance of their children further strains already fractious relationships.
