Wolle travels to California to talk about past and future surfboard shape designs with three generations of surfboard shapers. He finds that remaking old styles to make them new is a common thread between snowboarding and surfing.

Japan’s deep snowfall and proximity to the sea makes it one of the few spots on earth where you can surf and snowboard in the same day. Wolle meets up with Gentemstick founder Taro Tamai to talk board design, surf frozen waves, and shred powder.

Wolle takes up Cholo Burns's invitation to come to Canada to experience “Noboarding,” or riding regular snowboards without bindings. Wolle takes some epic runs with backcountry legend Johan Olofsson and enters in the GT Memorial Noboard Race.
