The Artful Dodger

Jack Dawkins, the Artful Dodger, is now a respected surgeon in Port Victory, a convict settlement in Australia. Fagin shows up just when Dodger's deep in debt from poker and persuades him into one last heist. Dodger learns about Lady Belle's goal to be a surgeon.

Jack and Belle operate on Tinkler, after the drunk professor's failed attempt. With Gaines away, Dodger and Fagin hope to swipe 500 sovereigns. While on the hunt they learn Darius' secret. Jack and Belle try to save Tinkler from a fatal infection.

Belle makes a discovery using carbolic acid to treat infections. Dodger and Fagin unearth a graveyard knowing they will be hanged if they can't locate the missing sovereigns. Red and her gang show up with pistols drawn.

Jack and Belle attempt to save Rotty as Fagin and Red work on a plan for the missing money. Fagin delivers Gaines' wife and Darius to a surprising destination. Sneed attacks Jack's reputation at the Governor's dinner.

Dodger and Fagin swap out a barrel of ambergris with a fake. When Sneed finds Dodger and Belle together, it ends in pistols at dawn. Just as Dodger and Sneed are about to pull the trigger, an unanticipated arrival intervenes.

Gaines launches a terror campaign on the colony. Red is captured for stealing alcohol. Belle, with Hetty's help, tries an inventive surgery technique. Fagin is honest with Jack about Belle.
