Single parent, Freya, worries for her son Billy's safety when a local girl goes missing. When witnesses describe a van, Freya remembers seeing one by her house. Asha is brought to her new home and taught the rules of Blackmarsh by her elder sister' Amy.

Amy is blamed for not keeping Asha in line during a donor performance. Adrienne convinces Amy she will be Mummy's favourite again if she completes her clearing a rite of passage where the child is given LSD to clear away their sins.

Amy runs away and ends up in the hospital where detective Joe Saad asks her questions about disturbing entries in her diary. The police raid Blackmarsh but Adrienne and Dr. Latham escape. Freya learns from Wayne that their teenage daughter might have run away.

Ada decides to reinvent herself after her husband dies in a car crash - a vision she had a few days prior. Following Indian traditions and philosophy, she now calls herself Adrienne Beaufort. Dr Latham is convinced she can walk through time and partners with her to form The Kindred.

Adrienne is arrested and brought back home to stand trial. Henrik is released after 22 years in prison and still won't admit what happened to Asha. Freya sees Adrienne at the welcome lodge Is The Kindred reborn?
