Despite his successful career as a surgeon, an accident on the job causes Hong Ji Hong (Kim Rae Won) to take a step back from practicing medicine and transition to teaching high school biology. In his new position, one particular student stands out: Yoo Hye Jung (Park Shin Hye), a prickly, rebellious girl raised by her grandmother. Under Ji Hong’s guidance, Hye Jung turns her life around both academically and personally as she learns to let her guard down around others. They part ways after Hye Jung graduates from high school, but reunite thirteen years later: Ji Hong has returned to neurosurgery, and Hye Jung works at the same hospital after becoming a surgeon herself, motivated by her grandmother’s tragic death due to medical negligence. Alongside her former teacher, Hye Jung navigates hospital politics, complex medical cases, and reawakened feelings for Ji Hong – but can she have it all?
