The Fragile Heart

Cardiac surgeon Edgar Pascoe is asked to perform a secret operation in China. With his personal life astray, he decides to embark on the risky venture.

During a medical conference, Edgar and Daniel are challenged by a Chinese physician, Dr. Chen, who questions their high-tech methods in favor of a holistic approach.

As his health deteriorates, Edgar is deported from China, and he is forced to face his personal failures and to experience the medical field from the other perspective: that of a patient.

After returning to the UK, Edgar tries to fling himself back into his old routine but remains haunted by his recurring nightmare.
