The Ultraman

The Terrestrial Defense Force forms a Science Guard Party in order to investigate the cause of mysterious phenomena.

Jonias, a new Ultraman from U-40, merges with young Science Garrison member Choichiro Hikari to defend the Earth.

Hikari encounters monster Mikonos while investigating an unidentified flying object, then transforms into Joneus and drives it away. Later, a TV station receives some film that was shot of the battle. The rest of the film depicts Ultraman's Secret. Hikari tracks down the man who delivered the film, and it turns out to be a trap set by Space Ninja Alien Baltan.

A strange red cloud appears; it begins to rain and the red cloud transforms into a monster and begins a rampage.

A famous magician, George Satake, tries to teleport himself from the Xalome Desert to Japan. However, what appears in the special venue in Tokyo is the translucent figure of Monster Xalome. Shortly after, Xalome fully materializes in a residential area. Hikari transforms into Joneus, shrinks himself down to micro-size, and flies inside Xalome!

As people evacuate from a tsunami caused by an earthquake in the Pacific Ocean, a mysterious flying object appears and rains down fire.
