Treading Yesterday

It all begins on Christmas week as Eric and his friends prepare for the Holidays. A chance encounter doesn't feel like a coincidence in his otherwise charmed life.

Eric and his friends gather to celebrate the Holidays, remembering friend’s past and present as a newcomer, Will, inserts himself into their lives. Eric is reminded of his life’s greatest regret and sets out to resolve it.

Eric's present is placed on hold while he reemerges in his past, during a time of turmoil that's mixed in equal parts of discrimination, passion, peril, and hope.

A brush with the law reminds Eric that Gays are not welcome and triggers a weekend bender that lands him and Christian in Mexico. Eric’s condition in the present remains curiously unresponsive bringing all hands-on deck to solve it.

Eric’s inspiration for returning to his past is revealed as he reunites with Christian and as his need to repress it diminishes while there. Elicious fearlessly defends Eric, rescuing him from a beat down which became an all too familiar experience during this time of political backlash and anti-gay rhetoric.

Will is able to make a connection with Eric while at his hospital bedside. Eric’s desire to hit the ground running as he reports to his first day of work at the cities only Gay newspaper is set back by his friend and mentor Andrew’s concern and response to his beating. Eric’s Hospital physician shares the puzzling findings of his test results.
