Valentina López is a young professional boxer called "La Monita". Roberto "Beto" Ochoa is her trainer and boyfriend, who puts her under pressure to win so he can get money for himself and his mother, Nieves.

Valentina 'Monita' Lopez is a boxer who, after losing a fight due to a hand injury, is looking for a new job. Mauricio seeks to discover who has been mishandling his business. Mauricio and Valentina meet and both are very impressed.

Aldo, Luisa and Dany run away from the foster home because they don’t want to be separated. Mauricio and Valentina find the kids very close to the orphanage. Valentina agrees with Mauricio's idea about adopting Aldo, Luisa and Daniela.

Mauricio adopts Aldo, Luisa and Daniela. Beto gets a taste of his own medicine for wanting to practice boxing. Mauricio tells Constanza that he adopted the children, but she doesn't take it in the best way.

Teresa tells Valentina the tragedy Mauricio once lived. Constanza loses patience with Daniela and almost hits her. Nieves pays Beto’s bail so he can be released from prison. Valentina resigns from Sermeno Enterprises to return to boxing with Mr. Cesar.

Mauricio asks Valentina to come back to work with him as his personal assistant. A man who claims to be Osvaldo Hernandez, father of the adopted children, shows up at Mauricio's house, but everything is a trap by Jeronimo.

Jeronimo asks the fake Osvaldo Hernandez to ask Mauricio for a large sum of money. Aldo unmasks the fake Osvaldo Hernandez. Mauricio discovers that Bonilla is behind that lie.
