Lucifer, the original fallen angel, has become dissatisfied with his life in Hell and retires to Los Angeles, where he indulges in his favourite things, women, wine and song, until a murder awakens something unfamiliar in his soul.

Lucifer helps Chloe investigate when a movie star's son is killed after being pursued by the paparazzi. Maze and Amenadiel try to persuade Lucifer to come back to hell.

An up-and-coming quarterback calls Lucifer after finding a corpse in his pool, so Lucifer asks Chloe to help investigate, which leads them into the world of big-money sports.

Lucifer decides he must seduce Chloe in order to get over his infatuation with her, a girl goes missing, and Amenadiel and Maze discuss Lucifer.

Lucifer asks Chloe to investigate when a shooting at a fashion show results in a young woman's death. Amenadiel targets Dr Linda Martin.

Lucifer abandons a murder investigation that bores him, but must persuade Chloe to let him back on the case after he realises that something very personal to him was stolen during the crime.
