David Alpert

Connecticut-native David Alpert started his career in the music world as a songwriter, writing tunes for many genres and styles. His favorite form of music though, is what he creates lovingly for children. He has recorded pleasing albums like Sounds Familiar, released in 1998, and My Front Porch, reaching the market a year later. Tunes from these albums have won him the 1999 Parents' Choice Gold Award and two Platinum Awards from Oppenheim Toy Portfolio. Alpert's music has also been reviewed and recommended by magazines including Family Fun and Mothering Magazine. Some of the tunes available on David Alpert's works are "Skip Along Down the Road," "Little Wall Clock," "Pokey Little Cowboy," "Blue Sky Lullaby," "Bubble in Trouble," "Friends Day," "Accidents May Happen," "Family Strong," and "London Town." Alpert's tunes are fun and yet most offer a lesson or some kind of a positive message for young children to take away with them. ~ Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
