5 Lessons in Happiness

In this anthology of five short films, Taiwan's LGBTQ+ community explores the complexities of happiness and identity. "Little Man" follows a gay swimmer struggling with insecurity, while "Baby Maybe" depicts a gay couple facing unexpected pregnancy. "Homebound" reveals a woman revisiting past emotions with her sister-in-law, and "She Is My Father" centers on a comedienne confronting her past. "Throuple" explores a novelist's unexpected affair with her female publisher. Each story delves into unique personal journeys of love, self-discovery, and acceptance within the LGBTQ+ experience. These interconnected narratives challenge traditional notions of relationships and identity, offering intimate glimpses into diverse sexual and gender experiences. This is a 2020 Taiwanese anthology film collection directed by Huang Ting Chun, Zero Chou, Adiamond Lee, Hsieh Chih Wen, and Nancy Chen.
