Barry, a disillusioned hit man, heads to Los Angeles to kill an aspiring actor who is having an affair with a Chechen mob leader's wife. After following his target to an acting class, Barry becomes inspired to begin a new life with the students.

After hearing some shocking news, Gene encourages his students to channel their emotions into their work; Barry tries not to get pulled back in by Fuches and the Chechens.

Barry skips an acting class to lieu of an obligation; Detectives Moss and Loach try to solve a murder puzzle; Sally's audition doesn't go as she planned; the arrival of an assassin excites the Chechens.

Barry discovers that putting distance between himself and Fuches may be more difficult that he anticipated; Sally is horrified to learn about the strings attached to an audition; Gene promises Moss a bombshell.

Barry finds himself feeling perplexed after pairing up with a careless new acquaintance named Taylor; Moss tries to question members of Gene's acting class after a shooting video emerges.

Taylor wants to get involved when Barry wants to fly solo at a remote airstrip. Despite Pazar's orders, Vacha is desperate to seek revenge on the man who killed his brother. Sally lobbies for a major acting challenge.
