Better Things

Aspiring actress Sam Fox deals with her eldest daughter asking to provide her with marijuana, her middle daughter constantly interrupting her, and her young son crying for no reason.

Sam discovers that the kids have trashed the house while she was away; her gynaecologist delivers unexpected news; she has to speak at a women and girls empowerment seminar at Frankie's high school.

Sam asks the director of the film she is working on if he'd like to have dinner at her house. Her friend Sunny thinks that they should have an affair, despite the fact that he is married.

Sam is thrilled to be considered for a possible lead role in a sitcom; she tries to cope with stress and exhaustion while still keeping up with Frankie's life.

Frankie falls sick, and Sam becomes worried when one of the mothers she knows also has to have surgery. As a result, she asks Phil if she has made a living will.

Sam has to deal with a number of issues, including people her age dating younger women, enduring clothes shopping with the girls, her friends' traumatic experiences, receiving attention at work, and helping Phil with an assortment of things.
