Tough-acting loner Maleek seems mismatched with his new, over-friendly paramedic partner Wendy, but soon they're giving each other life support.

Maleek reveals his dream of being in the helicopter service after meeting an arrogant air ambulance paramedic. Wendy pushes him to use this new connection, but makes an unwanted connection of her own.

When Maleek bumps into old flame and single mum Nicole, Wendy sees a chance to get them together by looking after her son. Maleek tries to impress him by taking him on a ride-a-long.

After their mishaps, the pair are split up and Maleek is punished with pushbike duty, while Wendy must work under Jo's observation. They both start to appreciate what they had together.

After discovering Maleek is a talented but reluctant singer, Wendy tries to encourage him. Jo tries to make Lawrence jealous.

Maleek and Wendy are forced to deliver a baby together on the underground. Lawrence sees Jo in a new light after working a shift together. Gary must save Kareshma's life.
