Double Tap

In Beijing, Li Hui Yan (Duan Yi Hong), a resourceful but financially struggling police detective, lives with his young son and constantly borrows money from colleagues. Zhou You (Da Peng), a funeral parlor worker haunted by his past, assists police in moving bodies and discovers a murder disguised as a death. When Li Hui Yan's daughter's school friend is kidnapped by masked assailants, his investigation leads him to a remote northern town. Simultaneously, Zhou You begins his own search for answers after his father is mysteriously murdered, with the killer fleeing to the same location. As their paths converge, the two men must unravel the complex web of crime connecting their personal tragedies. "Double Tap" is a 2021 Chinese drama series that was directed by Chen Zhou Fei.
