Smooch and Winslow, the monkey siblings, are out looking for their missing friend, Wartz. They create a commotion and disturb Snook the sloth, who then leads them through the forest to find Wartz.

Snook explores a butterfly's life and helps Smooch, who is looking for a new habitat to get away from her little brother. After wandering around, she soon realises that there's no place like home; Bob tries out an ant's view.

Wartz takes a Tai Chi lesson from Oko, which helps the former find balance; Ick gets to know that birds eat fish and becomes terrified of Burdette.

When Burdette learns that the ants have a queen, she proposes to be the queen of the World Tree; Wartz wants to be a monkey but finds it hard to keep up with Smooch and Winslow for the day.

Bob befriends a bee named Stripey; when her migrating swarm shows up, he realises that he has to let her move on.

Smooch and Winslow set out to find the Spirit of the World Tree; Bob and Winslow find a rock that turns out to be the shell of a snail named Rocky.
