Johnny and the Sprites

Johnny plays a video game; Ginger is unhappy because she has a curly antenna.

When little Root gets the da-doots, his da-dooting helps Johnny finish a song; when an endangered Grove creature goes missing, Johnny teaches the Sprites how to find it.

Johnny's younger sister visits and teaches the Sprites something about human families; Basil discovers that all the vegetables in Grotto's grove have the forgetful fungus.

When Johnny misplaces his colander, it serves many surprising purposes as each Sprite invents a new way to use it; when Johnny gets sick, Basil does everything to help him.

Ginger learns a valuable lesson when she uses up all her words and has to get through the day listening rather than talking; the Sprites overhear Johnny talking to Gwen and mistakenly assume that he's moving away to Hawaii forever.

An old friend of Seymour's comes for a visit and the Sprites offer to put him up in the Grove; as Root travels through the portal alone, it becomes an important day in a young Sprite's life.
