When 18-year-old Michael Winstone goes missing while studying abroad, his mother, former CIA operative Becca, suspects foul play and immediately travels to Europe to track him down.

As the search for her son continues, Becca makes a questionable agreement with the head of French intelligence (Joaquim de Almeida).

As Becca searches for Michael in Europe, the surprise arrival of her best friend causes complications; Michael tries to understand why he was abducted.

Becca's CIA mentor (Keith Carradine) helps search for Paul's assassin; Michael receives a severe warning that explains what would happen should he try to escape.

Becca attempts to uncover clues about Michael's location. Meanwhile, Michael works on his escape plan.

To avoid being taken into custody, Becca comes up with a dangerous new scheme to get Michael back and liberate him.
