River Cottage: Summer's Here

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall returns to River Cottage Headquarters in time for summer. He takes a lesson in sheep shearing, and experiments with veal recipes.

Hugh is on the hunt for red mullet. The River Cottage Canteen hosts a `Leftovers Night', and the Cottage's resident baker, Dan, takes an assistant under his wing.

Hugh discovers that slugs are eating the Cottage's cabbages, and takes on the challenge to turn them into a culinary masterpiece.

River Cottage celebrates the strawberry and the summer with a 500-person strawberry fair. Before the big day Hugh and Tim hit the river in search of trout, and Hugh goes shrimping.
