When Claire Morris confronts her new husband, Malcolm Webster, over his wild spending, he starts to drug her to keep her quiet. When a medical check up threatens to expose him he decides to silence her once and for all.

Felicity's father suspects Webster, after a fire is lit at their home. He and his other daughter Jane investigate, only to find that he plans to collect his wife's life insurance.

Detective Inspector Henry cannot seem to make any progress in his investigation. Webster is still on the run, and plans to marry Simone while still being wed to another woman.
