Matt Cook started his career with a background in sketch and improvisational comedy. Cook founded sketch group Big Boss, performed with various improv troupes in the Los Angeles area, and, most notably, was a member of the Main Company at The Groundlings Theatre. He made his first television appearance when he played a waiter on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (HBO, 2000-) in 2009. He subsequently starred in two comedic webseries entitled "Kill Spin" (2010) and "Unleashed" (2011). Cook made his first feature film project debut in "Kaleidoscope" (2012), a project made a reality by Kickstarter. Shortly afterward, he landed his first major recurring role for the second and final season of "Harry's Law" (NBC, 2011-2012), then appeared in a trio of episodes of True Blood (HBO, 2008-2014) in 2013. After making a number of episodic appearances in various sitcoms, Cook joined the main cast of barbershop sitcom "Clipped" (TBS, 2015), which was cancelled after one season. In 2016, he appeared in an episode of "Maron" (IFC, 2013-16) as a dentist. Cook co-starred in the sitcom "Man with a Plan" (CBS, 2016) alongside Matt LeBlanc and Kevin Nealon. In addition to his comedy and acting work, Cook was a player on the "Crit Juice" podcast, which followed him and his fellow comedians and actors as they play Dungeons & Dragons under the influence of alcohol.
