After exchange student Kazuya Kujo encounters the strange gothic genius Victorique, Inspector Grevil de Blois comes to her for advice on the murder of a local fortune-teller. Soon the two students embark on an unexpected journey to solve the case.
When Kujo, Victorique, and the other guests are drugged at dinner, they begin to suspect someone seeks revenge for the tragic events of ten years earlier aboard the same mysterious ship, The Queen Berry. Then, one by one, the guests begin to die.
Kujo throws himself in harm’s way to save Victorique from a killer. At police headquarters, Victorique brilliantly reveals the true mastermind behind the harrowing events aboard the haunting ship, as well as the dark reasons behind the original tragedy.
When Kujo sees a motorcyclist decapitated, Victorique must prove his innocence. Later, Kujo and the beautiful new exchange student from England, Avril, uncover an eight-year-old murder in the academy crypt.
The Phantom Thief Kuiaran returns after an eight-year absence. Kujo is knocked out as he investigates the strange sounds emanating from the haunted storehouse. And, as usual, Victorique must put the pieces together before anyone else gets hurt.
Kujo follows along as Victorique responds to an odd summons to the descendants of the Gray Wolves. As they travel to a village in the mountains, Victorique relates the tale of her mother, Cordelia Gallo, and the criminal accusations leveled against her.
