Men With Brooms

Gary and his rink (a.k.a team - it's confusing) compete in a meat spiel - a conflict for Pramesh, the group's only vegetarian. An attractive new accountant at work catches Gary's interest and Bill makes it his mission to get his picture in the award case at the club.

Gary is shocked that his Long Bay past hasn't been as well preserved as he would have thought. What begins as mild dismay turns into deep depression - at least when April's around, and he can milk the situation for sympathy. Tannis is upset that Matt is "stealing" her good luck, and Bill reluctantly agrees to play one of Pramesh's convoluted board games.

Disturbed by their diet pop addiction, April and Matt agree to become "quit buddies." Feeling left out, Gary joins in the pop abstinence, with less than stellar results. After a humiliating fall on the ice, Pramesh also leans toward quitting - curling, that is. Worried that Pramesh will sue, Bill decides to be "nice" - which proves to be even more disturbing than regular Bill.

The matter of who owes whom is hotly contested as Gary finds himself in debt to April after she helps him with a tax emergency. Meanwhile, Pramesh is less than thrilled to find out he's been appointed Employee of the Month at the business he co-owns and Bill finds himself yearning for lost youth when a typo in the local paper sends him into mid-life crisis mode.

Gary and his team are up against a formidable enemy in the battle for prime ice time - Gary's mom - and Gary finds that he may have to stand up to her for the first time in his life. Meanwhile, April fights injustice when she's refused a bonus doughnut at Speedy Treat, and Matt is drawn into taking sides between April and Rani.

Local hero Chris Cutter comes back to town and Bill isn't happy about it. Speedy Treat buys new uniforms for the curling team and Bill isn't happy about those either. Meanwhile, Gary puts his safety in danger to break a safety record at work.
