A group of four friends sets out on fun-filled adventures to explore the natural environment around their neighborhood.

The four friends plan to eat cherries at Mr Nonc's; Raphael accidentally drops his lucky pyrite into the stream, and his bike tire bursts.

Surrounded by fields and near a vast forest and a lovely stream is the village of Bellefontaine. Here lives a small group of boys and girls, including our heroes: Raphaël, Lina, Little Foot and Beanpole.

After school, both gangs grumble about their excessive homework and complain to the teacher. Lina attempts to defend her father whilst reassuring her friends that the assignments are not overly difficult.

Lina finds it impossible to read quietly. Her friends constantly seek her assistance, whether it is to help them complete a challenging maths exercise or revise a poem. She has grown weary of this.
