Three couples begin a nine-week experiment dating other people; a familiar face returns to court one of the women; past issues may bring another couple's journey to a quick end.

The men are excited to take their turn at dating new women. While most of their partners keep their cool, one lets jealousy rear its ugly head. Ken's mistrust gets out of hand when he steals Shorty's phone.

The process begins to heat up as Shorty furthers a deeper connection with Hollywood and Kenneth takes out a familiar face. Shay reveals concerns for marriage since she can't trust Fonzo. Otis pushes back against Dr. Nicole's advice.

Now that the couples are settling into the process, Dr. Nicole gives them a new challenge: going on dates at the same time and at the same place as their partners. Tension fills the air, and it might be too much for one couple.

The stress of seeing partners on double dates brings old insecurities to the surface; Shay does some soul searching with Dr. Nicole; Otis makes a startling admission that could change everything.

Still dealing with their trust issues, the couples turn to their families. Otis tries to apologize to Charlana. Shay gets some hard truths from her mother and aunt. Ken and Shorty's date ends in an ultimatum.
