Shawn travels to Miawpukek First Nation in Newfoundland to reconnect with his Mi’kmaw culture. Later, a reunion between mother and daughter offers forgiveness, and a message from a grandmother helps a daughter move forward.

Shawn travels to Qalipu First Nation, N.L. to learn about the local Mi'kmaw history and to participate in a community drum circle. His psychic abilities help connect the spirit of a Chief with his granddaughter and reveal the story of a hand-made bracelet.

Shawn heads to Cape Breton and experiences Mi'kmaw culture, Eskasoni-style. The skepticism of an Elder vanishes when she is re-connected with her mother and a woman haunted by the trauma of the past reconnects with her lost love.

Shawn visits Membertou First Nation where he learns about a sad chapter in the community’s history and receives spirit messages from Elders. A mother is reunited with her daughter and a niece deals with her guilt over her uncle’s death.

Shawn experiences an intense spiritual connection with his ancestors during a Sunrise Ceremony in a sacred place – the ocean floor on the Bay of Fundy. The spirit of a young son consoles his grieving mother and a hockey-loving husband connects with his wife.

Shawn participates in a community feast in the Mi'gmaw territory of Listuguj, Que. An emotional reunion between a mother and her daughter pulls at their community’s heartstrings and two siblings make a spiritual connection with their mother.
