Tate

Tate returns to his home town to help an old friend, the town's aging marshal, guard a prisoner from a mob that wants to free him from being hanged.

Tate rides into town with the body of a wanted outlaw, and presents it to collect the bounty. The sheriff sends Tate to the saloon to wait. Tate runs into a young hothead who's itching to put a notch on his gun and decides that Tate's going to be it.

Robert Culp plays a bounty hunter who is seeking Tate for a murder that he didn't commit.

When Tetlow (Mort Mills) tries to take her property Mary Hardin (Julie Adams) asks Tate for help.

Tate is searching for a war criminal guilty of a heinous act, but in the town he lives in now, Frank Turner is a beloved and respected citizen. The townspeople won't let Tate take him without a fight.

Tate is hired by an angry father who's daughter has been violated to bring the man responsible to justice. Tate chooses to refuse the father's request to kill the man but still decides he must be brought to justice.
