Before Jen can start her new job in Houston, she must travel east to pick up her husband, Bill; the couple decide to make the journey more exciting with a cross-country road trip and a stop in New Orleans.

Jen has a girls' day planned during Bill's first weekend in Houston, so they go separate ways; Bill works up a sweat at a gym; Jen enjoys pampering at a spa.

When Jen has to lead a workshop on medical stimulation in Galveston, Texas, Bill tags along, secretly hoping to get her mind off work with a surprise.

Jen and Bill decide to take the plunge and begin house hunting, but she wants a city place close to work while his heart is set on a sprawling home in the suburbs.

Bill and Jen's first wedding anniversary is only days away, but they find it hard to focus on romance when faced with a mountain of medical bills from his recent surgeries.
