When a string of elderly homeless men get brutally murdered in their sleep in the locked-down city of Barcelona amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the agents of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cos de Mossos d'Esquadra, Quique Molina and Marga Muñoz, who are at odds with each other, join forces to track down a serial killer. With the killer already inspiring copycats, Sergeant Molina and Agent Muñoz dive into the underworld of the homeless people of Barcelona to find the murderer. Meanwhile, Inspector Quim Vilana of the Criminal Investigation Unit takes in his son Max at the request of Ingrid, his ex-wife, who is ill with COVID-19. Though a gifted teenager, Max hardly knows his father due to their distance. Vilana reluctantly accepts, despite his workload, while Max spends his days alone. But when a childish, quiet, and shy Max comes into contact with his neighbor Rebeca, he learns to break all the rules, including the lockdown.
