S4, E10: At the hospital following Jean’s turn for the worse in 4009, Kris learns that Jean has a blood clot in her chest but is otherwise stable. Jean makes Kris and Matt promise not to give up on either the dude ranch or racing. At Raintree Kris checks in the inner city kids who are this week’s dude ranchers. Kris promises to take two of the girls out to the Indian Cliffs. Kris is investigating Flame’s sudden skittishness but when Junior visits they fall into each other’s arms. At Davis Farms Dani tells Davis that she’s running Tigress Eye against Tamarac. Noah learns that Tigress Eye is in season and needs a hormone suppressant. Because of Junior, Kris misses the ride with the girls so they’ve leave on their own. Matt is forced to accept Junior’s help and the three go out to look for the girls while Dani watches over Raintree. While out looking they come to a fork in the road and begin to argue. Pablo arrives, having been urged by Jean to check up on Kris and Matt. They decide to split up, with Kris and Pablo going one way and Junior and Matt going the other. While checking out Flame, Noah realizes that Flame is jumpy because of Tigress Eye being in season. On the search for the girls Kris and Pablo argue about why Pablo isn’t at Raintree and how this disaster could have happened. Matt and Junior fight over Kris which ends with the two coming to blows. Kris tracks the girls down and finds them unharmed but scared. Dani promises Noah that after this race she’s going to give up Tigress Eye. Kris and Pablo return with the girls to everyone’s relief. On race day Dani chooses not to give Tigress Eye her hormone suppressant. The first five races fly by with Nicaya being the only Raintree victory. It comes down to this last race. Flame almost wins, but Tigress Eye being in season stops him cold and he loses. Tamarac comes in first and Tigress Eye second which earns Pablo his 40th win. Noah spots the suppressant in the trash and confronts Dani about her promise but Dani decides to keep Tigress Eye. Noah reveals he knows what Dani did and they breakup. Junior tells Davis he’s back with Kris and it’s serious. Davis pretends to be okay but he’s furious. Kris visits Jean and pleads for her to come back soon as Kris can’t keep playing at being Jean. Discouraged by the losses Matt is ready to give up on Raintree being anything more than a dude ranch ever again. Kris finds Pablo in the stable with Wildfire and she congratulates him on his victory. Then Pablo makes a startling announcement. He’s moving back to Raintree.
