Jill Clayburgh

Jill Clayburgh was an American actress. She was a two-time Best Actress Academy Award nominee and won the Best Actress Award at the 1978 Cannes Film Festival.\nClayburgh made her Broadway debut in 1968 and went on to star in the original Broadway productions of the musicals The Rothschilds and Pippin In 1975, she starred in the TV movie Hustling, which earned her an Emmy Award nomination. Her role in the 1978 film An Unmarried Woman won her Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival, and also earned her Academy Award, BAFTA Award and Golden Globe Award nominations. Her second Best Actress Oscar nomination was for the 1979 film Starting Over. In 1984, she returned to Broadway in the revival of the play Design for Living. She received a second Emmy nomination for her 2004 guest role in the drama series Nip/Tuck, and went on to star in the drama series Dirty Sexy Money. Her other film roles included Silver Streak, Semi-Tough, La Luna, First Monday in October, Shy People, Whispers in the Dark and Bridesmaids.
