A band of benevolent Maximals follows a pack of power-seeking Predacons to a new planet.

A mountain containing the mineral Energon is discovered leading to a brawl between the Maximals and Predacons.

When Cheetor becomes over-zealous in trying out a new device invented by Rhinox, his veteran comrades must save the day.

A combination of high-tech equipment and a fluke of nature create a transport device that beams Cheetor into the Predacon stronghold and Terrosaur into the Maximal base.

Optimus mysteriously vanishes inside an alien probe while investigating strange ruins on the planet. His disappearance leads to conflict within the Maximal ranks as they battle the Predacons for the probe and Optimus's life.

Terrosaur finds a mountain of Energon crystals and accidentally gets supercharged. After going on the rampage, he is put in charge of the Predacons and prepares to turn his power on the Maximals.
