Adventurer Ben Fogle travels around Britain to meet people who have relocated to remote parts of the UK in search of a simpler lifestyle. The presenter explores the romantic notion of living in the wild against the reality of this existence by spending time with families for a few days to experience their daily activities firsthand. Over the episodes Fogle meets an Oxford University graduate who shunned her previous life in favour of the Welsh countryside, a family who left a city home to live in a converted horsebox, and a high-flying couple who swapped modern comforts for a small-holding within Exmoor National Park.
