Charlie and Nathan face the official enquiry into what happened on the day of the bombing. Guppy attempts to salvage his medical career by seeking guidance from his old mentor, Harry, and just as Josh thinks life holds no more surprises for him, Devika and her daughter turn up out of the blue.

Guppy saves a boy whose arm is trapped on the railway line with an approaching train. Meanwhile, Toby faces a death in his care. Nathan is stunned by Harry's return to Holby as his new boss.
