When the legitimacy of his college degree is challenged, lawyer Jeff Winger must return to school where he finds himself leading a misfit coalition of fellow community college students.

Jeff's (Joel McHale) efforts to win over Britta (Gillian Jacobs) backfire, and he finds himself paired up with Pierce (Chevy Chase) for their Spanish class project. The two give teacher Señor Chang (Ken Jeong) the presentation of a lifetime.
